Shannon grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. During his twelve years of attending a Catholic school, he developed a passion for acting and all things theatrical. He joined the military after high school. He was paying off college tuition before going to the Juilliard School of Arts to pursue an acting career.
Michael performed on Broadway after graduating from Juilliard with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Performing Arts. In addition to performing on Broadway, he also appeared in Off-Broadway productions throughout New York City until 2000.
